Privacy Policy
The short version
Sleeve is a place to build a profile that actually looks like you. To do that, we store your account, the things you make, and your friends — and not much else.
We don't run ads. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across other apps and websites. When you describe a theme, your prompt is sent to Google's Gemini API (paid tier) to generate a design. Google processes it as our service provider and does not use paid-tier prompts to train its models.
You can see, export, and delete your data, and you can delete your whole account, from inside the app. The full details are below.
01Who we are
Sleeve is operated by E-development LLC, a company registered in Reno, Nevada, United States. When this policy says "we," "us," or "Sleeve," that's who we mean.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@mysleeve.app. If you need a physical mailing address for legal correspondence, email us and we'll provide it.
02What we collect
Account information. Your email address, username, and display name. Sign-in is handled by Clerk — we don't receive or store your password. If you use Sign in with Apple or another provider, we receive only the basic profile information that provider shares with us.
Content you create. Everything you make on Sleeve: your avatar and uploaded photos, your bio, posts, shorts, comments, guestbook entries, direct messages, and the natural-language prompts you write to design your profile and themes. Your themes are stored in our design format, not as code you write.
Social connections. Your friends and the connections between accounts. Friend lists are visible only to your friends unless you choose to make yours public.
Subscription and purchase information. Whether you have Sleeve Pro and what you've bought in the cosmetic marketplace. Payments are processed by Apple through in-app purchase — we never receive or store your card or bank details.
Usage and diagnostic information. Crash reports, error logs, and basic performance data collected through Sentry so we can diagnose bugs and keep the app stable. We don't use advertising analytics SDKs or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Device and notification information. A push notification token so we can send alerts you've asked for, plus limited device and OS information needed to deliver the service.
03How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Run Sleeve — create your account, render your profile and themes, deliver posts, comments, messages, and notifications.
- Generate your custom themes from the prompts you write (see Section 4).
- Process your Sleeve Pro subscription and marketplace purchases.
- Keep Sleeve safe — detect abuse, enforce our rules, and review reported content including direct messages when necessary for safety.
- Understand how Sleeve is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
- Respond to you when you contact us.
Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland). Where applicable, we rely on: contract (to provide Sleeve and fulfill purchases); legitimate interests (to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve Sleeve in ways that don't override your rights); consent (for optional features like push notifications or making your friend list public); and legal obligation (when the law requires us to retain or disclose information).
04AI-generated themes
When you describe how you want your profile to look, your prompt is sent to Google Gemini API (paid tier), which returns a design our system validates and renders. This is the only purpose for which we share your prompt content.
Google acts as our processor under contract. Under Google's paid Gemini API terms, Google does not use your prompts or generated responses to improve its products. Google may log prompts and responses for a limited time to detect violations of its use policies and for required legal disclosures. Details are in Google's Gemini API terms.
We do not use your prompts to train our own models. We send only what is needed to generate your theme — not your full profile, messages, or friend list.
05What we do not do
- No advertising. Sleeve has no ads and never will. We don't have ad units, ad SDKs, or advertising partners.
- No selling or renting your data. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- No cross-app tracking. We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we don't share your data with data brokers. (This is also why Sleeve doesn't show you the "Allow Tracking" prompt.)
06Who we share information with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Sleeve, and only what they need to do their job:
- Clerk — account authentication and session management.
- Supabase — database hosting, file storage for your uploads, and content delivery.
- Google (Gemini API) — theme generation from your prompts (Section 4).
- Apple — to process subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- Sentry — crash reporting and error diagnostics.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a business transfer (like a merger), in which case we'll tell you.
07Your privacy choices
- Your friend list is visible only to your friends unless you opt to make it public in Settings.
- You control what's on your profile and who can see your posts through visibility settings in the app.
- Push notifications can be turned off in your device Settings or in Sleeve's notification preferences.
- You can block other users and report content or accounts that violate our rules.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, contact privacy@mysleeve.app. We verify requests to protect your account and respond within 45 days (or longer where the law allows, with notice).
If we deny a request, we'll explain why. You may have the right to appeal — contact us at the same address.
California residents
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the rights described above, including the right to know what we collect, the right to delete, and the right to correct inaccurate information. We collect the categories described in Section 2 for the purposes in Section 3. We retain data as described in Section 10.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask for proof that the agent is authorized and verify your identity directly.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland
You have the rights above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing are described in Section 3. Where we transfer data outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our providers.
Nevada residents
We do not sell your covered information as defined under Nevada law. You may submit a verified request to privacy@mysleeve.app to confirm we are not selling your information.
09Deleting your account
You can delete your Sleeve account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. When you do, we delete your profile, content, and personal information within 30 days, except for limited records we're required to keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons (such as purchase records processed by Apple or abuse reports tied to an investigation), which we retain only as long as necessary.
10How long we keep your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. After you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records longer.
Crash logs and diagnostic data in Sentry are retained for up to 90 days. Theme prompts processed by Google are subject to Google's retention practices for paid API usage (see Section 4).
11Age requirement
Sleeve is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us at privacy@mysleeve.app and we'll delete the account and associated data.
12Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and other safeguards appropriate to the data we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe and will notify you and the relevant authorities if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
13Where your data is processed
Sleeve is operated from the United States. Our service providers may process data in the US and other countries where they operate. If you use Sleeve from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US and other jurisdictions. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
14Our website
Our marketing site at mysleeve.app does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking. We may collect standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running. The Sleeve app is governed by this policy; our website does not require an account.
15Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app before it takes effect. We won't quietly start doing something this policy says we don't.
